Info
The project is conceived as a dialogue of mass and void, where monolithic stone volumes anchor the architecture to the earth while transparent glass apertures carve moments of light, openness, and connection to nature. Rooted in principles of material honesty and permanence, the heavy stone masses evoke a sense of timeless shelter, contrasted by precisely placed openings that frame curated views of the desert landscape. Movement through the home is choreographed as a sequence of compression and release, revealing space, light, and horizon in a deliberate progression. Deep recesses, overhangs, and thermal mass respond to the harsh desert climate, while a restrained palette and minimal formal language emphasize proportion, shadow, and texture over ornament. The result is a quiet, grounded architecture that dissolves into its surroundings—where light, shadow, and landscape become integral elements of the spatial experience.
